In exactly 100 days, the 2016 Penn State football season will commence when the Nittany Lions take on the Kent State Golden Flashes.
We’ll get to see the advent of the Joe Moorhead offense, the Brent Pry defense (likely not so different from the Bob Shoop defense before it) and how James Franklin fares with two new coordinators, 75% of a new defensive line and a new quarterback under center.
Things to look forward to? The best secondary in Happy Valley in likely a decade, and the best running back in longer than that. While the first game of the season will likely not preview much of what the coaching staff, and the team, will show later on in the season (and even in week two in Pittsburgh), it will give the fans and pundits a taste of what is to come in 2016, and in coming years in the blue and white.
Let the countdown to 2016 Penn State football commence!
