The Longhorns are still in contention for the fast-rising Houston-area product.

Murray, a three-star outside linebacker from Missouri City, has worked towards a Texas offer for quite some time, attending Texas’ Under The Lights camp last July and the Junior Day in February. The coveted offer was finally extended May 25, one which Murray raved about, via 247Sports:
“It’s a huge offer,” Murray said. “I’m just grateful for it. God blessed me with it. It’s huge for me.”
Murray, who took an unofficial visit to the Forty Acres in November, also said he’s looking to visit Texas again soon, making note of his relationships with defensive coordinator Vance Bedford and linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary. Murray told 247Sports he plans to visit Missouri, Ole Miss and Oregon, as well as attend Texas satellite camp in Houston in the mid-July.
Murray, a versatile prospect with potential as a linebacker or safety in college, ranks as the No. 58 linebacker in No. 848 player in the country in 2017. Murray’s Crystal Ball currently favors the Oklahoma Sooners.
