The South Carolina Gamecocks set their SEC Media Day reps

The South Carolina Gamecocks have their SEC Media Day reps for 2016. Marquavius Lewis, Deebo Samuel and Mason Zandi will be going with Will Muschamp to SEC Media Days in Hoover, Alabama. SEC Media Days runs from July 11th – July 14th and the Gamecocks are set to meet with the media on the morning of the 14th.

Both Deebo Samuel and Marquavius Lewis will be depended on to anchor their respective positions. Deebo, who came in as a promising recruit, had his 2015 season largely cut short due to injury. He still had his moments (another one) when he was healthy, though. Marquavius Lewis, who finished the 2015 season with 3 sacks (here’s one of them), was largely a disappointment after coming in with much fanfare (although I think most people would agree that can be attributed to Deke Adams). Lewis will be expected to make a significant step forward to lead the Gamecock defensive line in 2016.

Mason Zandi, a returning starter on the offensive line, will be the third member of the USC player contingent in Hoover. Zandi will be looked at as one of the anchors for a fairly young Gamecock offensive line.
