“No leader, but some stick out,” Gervin said. “Michigan State, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin.”
Gervin is “not sure” if he will attend any camps this summer, but he will continue to work on getting ready to help bring a football championship to Cass Technical. As for a personal goal, Gervin hopes to create more turnovers. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back has great speed coverage skills and instincts but struggles with his off coverage. As a 2018 graduate, Gervin has a lot of time to work on the little things to get ready for the college level.
As far as the key aspects that will play into Gervin’s college decision, he said, “Academics, coach stability and being able to develop me.”
Gervin has received offers to play football for Michigan, Michigan State, Akron, California, Eastern Michigan, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa State, Nebraska, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Temple, Tennessee, Toledo, UAB, USF, and Wisconsin. He was recruited to Michigan by Tyrone Wheatley.
“[Michigan] sticks out right now and the new system is similar to what we do here at Cass Tech,” the four-star said. “It is an in your face type of cornerbacks and lots of blitz.”
