The JUCO RB out of Mississippi has decided to play somewhere else.

Octavius Matthews, a running back commit out of Mississippi, hasĀ decided on Sunday to decommit from Bobby Petrino and the University of Louisville football program, via a post on his Twitter account.

Matthews, regarded has the top class of 2017 JUCO running back in the country, had committed to the Louisville program back on April 21st. He played his freshman season at Itawumba Community College in Mississippi. Shortly after decommitting from the Cardinals, he would again post on Twitter that he would be headed to Auburn and become a Tiger.

Matthews was one of eight commits to play for Petrino in the 2017 class. With the loss of Matthews in the 2017 class, the only commits who will play on the offensive side of the ball are Malik Cunningham (QB), Kemari Averett (TE), and Joey Palmer (OT). It should be noted that Malik Cunningham his garnering a lot of attention from the Oregon Ducks.

I guess this is Auburn just getting revenge for that whole Jawon Pass thing?
