As we get closer to finally seeing what the 2016 Arizona Wildcats defense will actually look like, we can also start wondering about what players will benefit the most. A lot of talk has centered around DeAndre’ Miller, and that’s reached ESPN as well. Ted Miller gave his thoughts on dark horse players in the Pac-12 South, and Miller is most definitely coming at you like a Katy Perry song. As long as he can stay healthy, there’s no reason not to believe that he’ll have a big year for Arizona

– I’m not really sure what this is, but this dude that writes for our sister site Off Tackle Empire really hates Rich Rodriguez or Arizona or the punt flag or all of the above

Basketball

– The status of Terrance Ferguson is up in the air, with reports of him possibly going overseas all over the place. Or if your KVOA, you can just report on both sides of the story at the same time so you can get credit either way

– Before the Ferguson news came out, ESPN’s Dana O’Neil wrote about how Sean Miller has nothing to sweat about

Baseball

– Huge day for Arizona baseball. It started with Nathan Bannister doing things that humans shouldn’t be able to do. It ended with a Super Region bid thanks to a 3-1 victory closed out by Cameron Ming

– This is a pretty nice read on Bannister. He was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Regional, and was joined by four other Wildcats on the All-Tournament team

– The wins mean Arizona will play in Starkville next weekend in a best-of-three against Mississippi State. Check out For Whom the Cowbell Tolls to get caught up on MSU baseball before this weekend

– How would you like to watch baseball on the McKale video board? It happened on Monday

– Stanford head coach Mark Marquess will coach the 2017 season then retire. This seems like a bad idea in terms of recruiting at Stanford

– The only other team from the west to advance to the Super Regionals was UCSB. They will be in Louisville next weekend
