Strong will take four seniors with him to Dallas.

One of the last major landmark events before fall camp begins for the Texas Longhorns in early August looms less than two weeks away — the Big 12 Media Days in Dallas — and the conference revealed the attendees from each school on Wednesday.

With only 13 scholarship seniors on the roster for the Longhorns, there’s unquestionably a youth movement afoot in Austin, but head coach Charlie Strong will take four of those seniors with him.

Unsurprisingly, quarterback Tyrone Swoopes isn’t on the list and neither are the two other players still competing for the starting job:

  • Tight end Caleb Bluiett
  • Offensive tackle Kent Perkins
  • Defensive tackle Paul Boyette, Jr.
  • Safety Dylan Haines

TCU is the only other school in the conference that will not bring a quarterback to the event.

The Media Days will run from Monday, July 18 to Tuesday, July 19. The Longhorns will meet the press on the second day.
