We caught up with the 2018 LB following Wednesday’s camp.

2018 linebacker Hugh Davis, who has not yet received an offer to play for the Michigan Wolverines, attended the Elite Sports Camp on Wednesday at Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“They said that I was a good player and that I made a good first impression,” Davis said. “[They said] they will keep tabs on me now.”

Davis took a lot from what Michigan defensive coordinator Don Brown taught him, which was having better hand usage and placement. The linebacker did numerous amount of drills and worked on his hands and his punch.

Along with Brown, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh brought offensive coordinator Tim Drevno, quarterbacks/receivers coach Jedd Fisch, defensive line coach Greg Mattison and running backs coach Tyrone Wheatley.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound sophomore will attend an Illinois satellite camp on June 3, 2016, Sound Mind Sound Body camp in Detroit on June 9, 2016, and Irish Invasion camp at Notre Dame later in June.

“They gave me positive feedback,” Davis said after the camp.

Davis has offers from Central Michigan and Indiana, but will get a handful more throughout the remainder of his high school career. Michigan will continue to keep an eye on the linebacker and could eventually send an offer his way.

“I believe [Michigan} will [offer me] at some point in the process,” he said. “I believe that I can play at any school in the Big Ten because of my speed, explosion and athleticism.”
