Louisville continued to load up on big defensive backs by landing a commitment from Miramar, FL cornerback Kaheem Roach.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Louisville’s placed a heavy emphasis on landing defensive backs for the class of 2017 that have size and range. As has been the case with virtually every defensive back commitment so far, the Cardinals’ coaching staff have succeeded by landing a commitment from Miramar, FL cornerback Kaheem Roach. Roach (6’1, 185) is Louisville’s 18th commitment for the recruiting class of 2017, one that is heavy on defensive backs at the moment. He announced his commitment Monday night via his personal Twitter account.

Roach is rated a composite three-star cornerback according to 247Sports rating system. He lists offers from SEC powers Auburn and LSU as well as offers from Illinois as well as Temple and Central Florida. You can see in his highlight video below he’s a very physical defensive back that’s not at all afraid to come up and make a tackle.
It’s worth noting that Roach was recruited by Cort Dennison, one of Louisville’s new assistant coaches who has worked tirelessly to keep Louisville plugged into south Florida. it is no small feat for Louisville to pull a kid out of Miramar.
