It’s never a bad weekend when you have the following players on campus
4-Star DE/OLB K’Lavon Chaisson 6-4/220 from North Shore High School in Houston, TX.
5-Star DT Marvin Wilson 6-4/320 from Episcopal High School in Houston, TX
Chaisson is a near perfect fit for outside linebacker in the Sooners 3-4. He has the ability to rush the passer and could easily be 240lbs. + after a redshirt year.
Wilson’s ability goes without saying. At 6-4/320 he is a prototypical nose guard that can anchor the middle of a defensive line, but Wilson also possesses the ability to rush the passer and destroy a run game. He is that good.
The Sooners definitely put their best foot forward this weekend with both players. In fact I would say that they are firmly in the mix for Wilson now and quite possibly out in front for Chaisson.

Another interesting sub plot to watch is whether Chaisson and Wilson are considering playing together at the same school.
Landing players like Chaisson and Wilson are what it will take to continue to compete on the highest level. Also if Calvin Thibodeaux pulls something like this off, you can put ANY recruiting questions to bed immediately.
