Plus, an injury to one of Nebraska’s in-state commits and some Rivals rankings movement in a good way for Nebraska.
– Even with the camp season ripping and roaring, Nebraska’s staff found time to make it home to host a big time Offensive Line target on Wednesday.

The fact that Vera-Tucker wants to come on his own dime means that Mike Cavanaugh & staff are doing work. Vera-Tucker could probably be in the mix right away if he & the staff could get him in Lincoln.
The staff, even though they were in Houston the past 2 days for the Sound Mind Sound Body camps, were heading back just to talk to Vera-Tucker.
Great trip to H-Town for @SMSBFootball camp Time to get home for a HUGE #Calibraska visitor tomorrow! #GBR ⚪️ pic.twitter.com/SBQBQu9jif

And for those that clamor about kids not showing up, well here you go.

– There is a little bit of worry about Austin Allen, the Tight End commit from Aurora. Rivals is reporting that Allen suffered a meniscus injury during a Basketball camp. The injury will force Allen to have surgery tomorrow. The staff is aware, per Allen in the piece, but there can’t be any plans made till after the known effects of the injury & surgery.
– There is a lot of Nebraska targets heading to the Rivals100 5 star challenge in Atlanta this weekend. Among the commits and targets for Nebraska include:
Jamire Calvin
Brian Hightower
Joseph Lewis
Tyjon Lindsey
Rahyme Johnson
Avery Roberts
Al Blades
Deommodore Lenoir
That’s a big list of kids, granted though only one commit so far for Nebraska in that list. I would bet that Nebraska snags at least 3 out of that list (Lindsey, Johnson, Lenoir). The more the merrier.
– For those that want to elicit talks of being an Elite11 Quarterback is not the greatest harbinger of success at Nebraska, I present this tweet to you.
Calabasas QB @tgeb13, without attending any elite QB showcases and camps makes @Rivals 100 for 2017. Only 8 QB’s in Top 100! #1 Cali. QB

Gebbia is the 94th ranked player in the Rivals100, where he joins Nebraska verbal Avery Roberts (77) and targets Darnay Holmes (15), Lindsey (33), and Lenoir (85) in that ranking. The thought of Nebraska having 4 of those players… man.
