Great news for the Orange commit from New Jersey’s Don Bosco Prep.
When we spoke with Tommy DeVito at Elite 11 in Redondo Beach, Calif. this weekend, the 2017 Syracuse Orange football commit seemed confident in his abilities and how he stacked up against the country’s best quarterbacks.
Today, his faith in himself as one of the nation’s top passers seems 100-percent justified:

DeVito, from New Jersey’s Don Bosco Prep, came out firing starting Friday night, and never seemed to let up at all during the competition. He out-performed several top recruits and based on the four-star assessment above, may have even experienced a ratings increase just by way of his throwing at Elite 11.
As previously pointed out, throws like this will certainly help differentiate you from the pack:

DeVito now heads to The Nike+ Football Opening Finals at Nike world headquarters in Beaverton, Ore. He’ll be competing with the country’s best players at every position in the top showcase for 2017 recruits. The Opening Finals will run from July 8-10, and be televised on ESPN networks as well.

Congratulations, Tommy! Great to see Syracuse potentially gets its most highly-lauded quarterback recruit in quite some time. Looking forward to seeing him represent the Orange and continue on the recruiting trail in the lead-up to 2017 signing day. See here for the full list of finalists heading to The Opening Finals.
